Kuala Lumpur, Tuesday, 3 December 2024 – In light of the recent floods that have affected several states in Malaysia, member banks of The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) are steadfast in their commitment to support and provide financial assistance to customers impacted by this natural disaster.
ABM member banks have activated comprehensive flood relief assistance programs to aid affected customers. These programs are designed to be accessible and compassionate, ensuring that those in need receive timely support. The assistance offered includes, but is not limited to:
Additionally, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the floods can apply for the Disaster Relief Facility (DRF) to facilitate the resumption of their business operations. Customers in flood-affected areas are encouraged to refer to announcements from their respective banks for detailed guidance on applying for flood relief assistance. ABM assures all customers that member banks are implementing various measures to ensure continued access to essential banking services. Notices will be posted at affected branches and on the banks’ websites, informing customers of the nearest alternative branches available for their banking needs.
