ABM: In response to letter-to-editor on "Hidden use of border charge” published in The Star on 3 April 2018

Reference is made to the article published in The Star dated 3 April 2018 titled “Hidden use of border charge” by ‘Disappointed Bank Customer’. As our member banks are continuously committed to providing service excellence, we encourage ‘Disappointed Bank Customer’ to get in touch with ABM with the following information in relation to the said incident to enable us to investigate the matter:-
  1. merchant’s name, which in this case would be name of the airline;
  2. card issuer’s name, i.e. the bank which issued the credit card used for this payment;
  3. a copy of the payment confirmation with details of transaction, i.e. date and total amount payable; and a copy of the credit card statement with the actual amount charged to the cardholder.
