ABM: In response to letter-to-editor on "Beware the hidden counterfeit banknotes" published in The Star on 30 October 2017

On behalf of our member banks, The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) would like to state that commercial banks in Malaysia are guided by stringent guidelines and protocols in relation to handling and dispensing currency notes. This includes ensuring that genuine notes are being dispensed over the counter and/or via automated teller machines to its customers.
