The Association of Banks in Malaysia on behalf of the ASEAN Bankers Association attended the Regional Socialisation of the AEC Strategic Plan of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 on12 June 2025, at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Regional Socialisation served as a platform to highlight the Plan’s key priorities and strategic initiatives, and to foster alignment among stakeholders in advancing ASEAN’s economic agenda.

As background, following the adoption of the AEC Strategic Plan 2026–2030, the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Economic Integration (HLTF-EI) and the Working Group for AEC Post-2025 convened the Regional Socialisation of the AEC Strategic Plan of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 to raise awareness of the Strategic Plan. This high-profile event brought together senior government officials from ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste, leaders from regional and international businesses, MSMEs and startups, academia, think tanks, civil society organisations (CSOs), Dialogue Partners, and international organisations. Through multi-stakeholder panel discussions, the event highlighted and explored the Strategic Plan’s high-level priorities, reaffirming the region’s shared commitment to building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable single market through collective action and collaboration.
