The Association of Banks In Malaysia (ABM), on behalf of the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and Bank Negara Malaysia, was pleased to play host to ASEAN national banking associations’ delegates who attended the 12th ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM) and Related Meetings from 7 – 10 April 2025, and especially the ASEAN Central Bank Governors’ Meeting – Financial Institution CEOs’ Dialogue (ACGM FI CEOs Dialogue) which was held on 9 April 2025.

Among the concept/discussion notes that were presented and discussed at the ASEAN Central Bank Governors’ Meeting and FI CEOs’ Dialogue on 9 April 2025 were:-

1.      Cross-Border Payments (Project Nexus)
2.      Financial Fraud and Scams
3.      Update on ASEAN Interoperable Data Framework (IDF) Playbook

Bank Negara Malaysia had included the outcome of the discussions from the ACGM FI CEOs Dialogue into the AFMGM joint statement.

Ministry of Finance, Malaysia and Bank Negara Malaysia hosted a welcoming dinner as well as a Gala Dinner during that week.
