On the 26th of August 2024, The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) hosted a study visit from Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM), along with 12 participants of the Strategic Excellence and Transformational Banking Leadership Program. The participants were bankers from Sri Lanka, currently enrolled in the Postgraduate Institute of Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The managerial level executives were here as part of the Colombo Plan to learn about best practices and gain insights from the Malaysian banking sector.
The visit was initiated by Adjunct Professor Dato’ Zuraidah Atan and Associate Professor Dr. Sudesh Prabhakaran, Assistant Dean (Business Development) from the UPM School of Business and Economics.
Participants from the visit aimed to explore the Malaysian banking industry’s future roadmap and understand how technology and innovation were being adapted within the banking sector.
ABM looks forward to building more collaborations with UPM and the Postgraduate Institute of Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in the near future.
