The Association of Banks In Malaysia (ABM) was honoured to be invited to witness the launch of the Association of Malaysian Credit Recovery Agencies (AMCRA) on 29 January 2026, which marks a new milestone in credit recovery in Malaysia. This affirms the importance of collaboration between the credit recovery agencies with financial institutions.

ABM congratulates AMCRA as the first national body for credit recovery agencies that unites the industry under the Consumer Credit Act 2025, ensuring higher standards, stronger consumer protection, and greater transparency. It will also drive professionalism, ethics, and accountability in debt collection as well as support Malaysia’s financial stability and consumer confidence.
