The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) was present for the launch of the ASEAN TVET Conference, an important part of the ASEAN Year of Skills 2025. ABM was represented by Executive Director Dr Amina Josetta Kayani, who attended the launch on 13 August 2025.

This event, officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datoโ€™ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, highlighted the critical need for digital and green skills development across the region. A great step forward for ASEAN’s future.

Key speakers at the launch were Mr Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Human Resources, ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn (pre-recorded message) and Ms Kaori Nakamura-Osaka (Assistant Director General and Regional Director for Asia & the Pacific) representing the International Labour Organisation.
