The Association of Banks In Malaysia (ABM), led by the Executive Director, Dr Amina Josetta Kayani, was pleased to host PEMUDAH, with the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) as its Secretariat, at the ABM office for a courtesy visit and engagement session on 28 April 2026. The session was attended by Dr. Mohamad Norjayadi Tamam, Deputy Director General of MPC, together with representatives from MPCโ€™s National Competitive Section.
The discussion focused on the Technical Working Group on Financial Services (TWGFS), including its proposed structure, priorities, and the way forward in strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Key areas of discussion included improving access to financing, enhancing regulatory efficiency, and addressing industry pain points, particularly for SMEs, in line with the World Bankโ€™s B-READY framework.
ABM looks forward to continued engagement with PEMUDAH and relevant stakeholders to drive practical and impactful improvements in Malaysiaโ€™s financial ecosystem.
