The Association of Banks In Malaysia (ABM) was delighted to welcome delegates from across ASEAN to Kuala Lumpur for the first day of the ASEAN Bankers Association (ABA) ASEAN IRR Study Tour 2026.

The programme commenced with a visit to TNG Digital, where delegates gained valuable insights into Malaysia’s digital payments ecosystem and the continued evolution of financial technology.

The delegation then gathered for the Welcome Lunch at The Annex by Thyme Out Café, providing a valuable opportunity for delegates to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships before continuing the programme.

In the afternoon, delegates visited Maybank at Menara 118, where they gained insights into the bank’s digital transformation journey, innovation initiatives, and perspectives on the future of banking. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dato’ Sri Khairussaleh Ramli, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of Maybank, reflecting the bank’s commitment to fostering regional collaboration and knowledge sharing across ASEAN.

The day concluded with a networking dinner hosted by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) at De.Wan 1958, providing a valuable platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and strengthening regional ties among banking professionals across ASEAN.
