On Thursday, 9 April 2026, The Association of Banks In Malaysia (ABM), represented by Dato’ Mohd Rashid bin Mohamad (Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, RHB Banking Group), as the Head of Delegation, virtually participated in the ASEAN Central Bank Governors’ Meeting – Financial Institutions CEO Dialogue. The session was chaired by the Central Bank Governor of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and attended by representatives from the ASEAN Central Banks, ASEAN Bankers Association (ABA), ASEAN national banking associations (NBAs) and NBAs’ financial institution CEOs.

On behalf of the central banks, Dato’ Sri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, Governor Bank Negara Malaysia represented Malaysia at the ACGM – FI CEO Dialogue.

The dialogue focused on two key priorities: advancing an ASEAN baseline framework for AI governance and strengthening a coordinated, ecosystem-wide response to scams and fraud.

The session underscored the importance of a principles-based, risk-proportionate approach, alongside stronger regional collaboration to support innovation, trust, and financial system resilience across ASEAN.
