The Association of Banks in Malaysia recently welcomed Yang Berhormat (YB) Steven Sim, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), for a productive dialogue with ABM member banks on 6 April 2026.
The dialogue spotlighted ABM’s comprehensive initiatives in championing financial access, capacity building, and sustainable growth for small and medium enterprises nationwide, while opening avenues for deeper strategic partnerships between ABM, KUSKOP, and SME Corp. Malaysia to amplify our collective impact on Malaysia’s entrepreneurial landscape.
The presence of esteemed ABM Council Members and Chiefs from Council and Member banks including Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr) Tay Ah Lek from Public Bank, Datoโ Mohd Rashid bin Mohamad from RHB Banking Group, Tan Chor Sen from OCBC, Dafinah Ahmed Hilmi from Hong Leong Islamic Bank, Bilal Parvaiz from Standard Chartered Saadiq, Saw Jun-Yu from Boost Bank, and many more contributed to the dialogueโs vibrant discussions and dynamic exchange of knowledge, reinforcing ABM’s continued commitment to strengthening public-private collaboration for Malaysia’s MSME sector.
Dato’ Sri Khairussaleh Ramli, Chairman of ABM and Dr Amina Josetta Kayani, Executive Director of ABM also presented YB Steven with a token of appreciation for his visit.
