On 18 July 2025, Dr Amina Josetta Kayani, Executive Director, The Association of Banks In Malaysia (ABM) had the pleasure of hosting an engagement session between three ABM member banks i.e. Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (M) Bhd (ICBC Bank) and China Construction Bank with two of the Malaysian Chinese Chambers i.e. Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and Federation of Malaysia Chinese Commerce Association (FEMACCA).

The purpose for the session was to exchange views and thoughts as well as understand better the challenges faced by the businesses amidst the current geo-political scenario. This engagement session was also aimed to provide the opportunity for the Malaysian Chinese Chambers to connect with the 3 China banks in Malaysia.

The participants found the session highly meaningful and provided all with valuable insights into the local market needs while creating an important platform for strengthening cooperation among stakeholders.

The engagement session was organised and coordinated by ABM’s Regional & Government Affairs hashtagRGA Dept together with Strategic Operations Dept hashtagStO.
