As an ASEAN-focused bank, how are we helping to facilitate investment flows into this region? Last week, together with Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment (BKPM), we organised a business roundtable with global companies with a keen interest to invest in Indonesia. “UOB has provided various platforms for BKPM to connect with business executives to showcase the investment opportunities in Indonesia. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to attract foreign direct investment that will drive economic growth and create jobs in Indonesia.” – Nurul Ichwan, Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Investment Planning. Harapman Kasan, Wholesale Banking Director, UOB Indonesia, was also present at the roundtable. He shared, "We want to attract the companies and investments into Indonesia that are in line with the nation's sustainability and economic goals. We will continue to strengthen our strategic partnership with BKPM, leverage our regional connectivity capabilities and share insights to support the Indonesian economy." #UOBAseanInsights Pictured: Nurul Ichwan (centre) receiving a token of appreciation from Harapman Kasan (left) and Sam Cheong, UOB’s Head of Group FDI Advisory (right).
