There is a common misconception that Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) only benefit large, multinational companies. However, with more inclusive provisions incorporated to FTAs to support SMEs, businesses can leverage these agreements to be more competitive internationally. FTAs grant preferential access to specific sectors, seek to remove tariffs and address non-tariff measures.
