Meanwhile, the Energy Commission’s Green Electricity Tariff (GET) programme resumed on August 11 for new subscriptions, aimed at promoting sustainable energy practices in the country.   Malaysia's progress towards net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 remains promising, according to the Energy Industries Council (EIC), with measures in place to achieve this goal. On another hand, Maybank's CEO announces substantial headway as the bank reaches half of its US$17.3 billion green loans target, emphasizing a strong commitment to sustainable financial initiatives. In line with these sustainability efforts, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad and Persada Mentari Sdn Bhd ("PMSB") have joined hands by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration is intended to actively promote sustainable development and living by encouraging the ownership of green-certified properties. Noteworthy developments this week also encompass EP Manufacturing Bhd’s (EPMB) subsidiary, EP Blueshark Sdn Bhd (EPSB), which has entered into a collaborative agreement with Grabcar Sdn Bhd (Grab) and Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd.
