Jeffrey Shen and Stuart Gibson, ESR Group Co-founders and Co-CEOs, together with our partners from Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) Authority and MC Urban Development Indonesia celebrated the start of construction at the 157,887 sqm ESR Karawang Logistics Park 1’s groundbreaking ceremony on 6 September 2023. The layout and design of the first building in the Park has been finalised with one built-to-suit tenant from the Industrials Manufacturing sector. Our Park is projected to contain a total of five facilities, all of which will have provisions for solar panel installation to reduce environmental impact. It is a first Grade A logistics facility in an area where many industrial firms, particularly automotive manufacturers, operate. Other than the logistics market, the sizeable land area also allows for data centre developments. Located in the Surya Cipta Industrial Estate, our Park is the only facility with both North and South entrances in an expanding industrial area in Jakarta's Eastern Corridor. Our Park also sits in a mature industrial estate that is closest to the Patimban Deep Sea Port, which is expected to be the country’s primary export port. Indonesia is a key market in ESR Group’s Southeast Asian expansion as we leverage our best-in-class fund management and development expertise to build value for tenants, partners and the community. It's an honor for ASECH Team represented by Think Tank of Asech and Partner from Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and PT Jimbaran Hijau Bali to visit and be warmly welcomed by Mr. Mahendra Jaya, the Governor of Bali, at the Jaya Sabha Complex. During this occasion, the Governor invited the entire Balinese community to come together and practice 'Ngerombo' or mutual cooperation.
