🌍 Why we collaborate with NGOs? Collaborating with #NGOs, especially local ones, is crucial. They possess invaluable #insights into community needs, ensuring targeted and effective interventions. Additionally, they have direct access to vulnerable populations, enabling swift assistance when it's needed most. Here, we outline a few reasons why, at #FundacionXcalibur, we take pride in #partnering with these organizations 💚 : 🤝 Building Strong Partnerships By aligning with local NGOs, we amplify our #impact, reaching more individuals and communities in need. 💪 Empowering Communities Working with local NGOs strengthens the community's capacity to address its own challenges, promoting sustainable and long-term change. 💡 Culture and Sensitivity They understand the culture and local contexts, helping to avoid cultural misunderstandings and develop more acceptable and effective interventions 🗣 . 🌟 So, on this #WorldNGODay , we would like to recognise the work of organizations like Youth Sport Uganda 💙 . Their dedication and passion drive positive change, creating brighter futures for individuals and communities worldwide. Together, we can continue to make a difference. #YouthSportsUganda #WorldNGODay #XcaliburFondation #Shappingthefuture

The disquieting reality exists that, as we've just come from celebrating Madiba Day, 3 out of every 10 South Africans live in extreme poverty, defined as living on less than R35 a day. We know this because we’re refreshing our understanding of how South Africa is performing against the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We are updating our grip on the facts because Empanda is partnering with the Global Compact Network South Africa to facilitate the South African private sector 2024 Voluntary National Review (VNR) of action to deliver the 2030 Agenda. We are so excited about this hugely valuable initiative. The ‘poverty line’ idea made us wonder what the role of business is beyond individual philanthropy. One big idea is that those of us with jobs within our economy must think about what we can do to generate sustainable employment for the most vulnerable. Do you have an idea? Can you generate or create a job? We’re looking forward to surfacing solutions and ideas in the forthcoming VNR. Registration is open next week! Join us and participate. #SDGs #NoPoverty #VNR #SustainableBusiness #SouthAfrica #Empanda #GCNSA
