I am honored to represent Persatuan Aktivis Sahabat Alam - KUASA as a Malaysia Consultation Panel for Climate Change by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change Malaysia (NRECC). The Consultation Panel is responsible for the following matters, among others: - To provide views and input related to climate change based on issues and needs; - To propose new initiatives or collaborations in support of the country's climate change agenda; - To assist in increasing the effectiveness of educational activities and community awareness to deal with climate change; - To serve as an intermediary in establishing cooperation with various parties, including the community, media and appropriate stakeholders. This is not just about ticking a box; it's a stepping stone towards meaningful collaboration between the ministry and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Together, we can make a real impact on climate change. Let's work hand in hand for a sustainable future! 💚🌿 #ClimateAction #CollaborationForChange #MalaysiaClimatePanel"

Shell Pilipinas Corporation Partners with DENR in Developing Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in PH We at Shell Pilipinas Corporation know the value of working sustainably to ensure that the world we pass on to the next generations will be a sustainable one. As part of our commitment to be a net-zero emission business by 2050, we will launch projects and partner with society and government to help us attain our goal of protecting the environment, using energy efficiently and powering homes, cars and factories with cleaner energy solutions. In May this year, Shell Pilipinas Corporation (SPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to explore, identify and develop Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) opportunities in the Philippines. We will work together with the DENR to reinforce activities that protect and enhance natural ecosystems. We will also assist DENR in launching projects that are environmentally sustainable and are beneficial to local communities. Both Shell and DENR are looking forward to attaining the goals of this partnership. During the MOU signing with DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga at the DENR Central Office at Quezon City, she expressed the significance of an energy company signing for the conversation, restoration, and regeneration of the country environment and natural resources as this partnership can accelerate collaborative solutions on climate change. This MOU is also a support to DENR’s National Greening Program under Executive Order No. 193 for climate change mitigation and adaptation through the restoration and protection of unproductive, denuded, and degraded forestland in the country. Personally, this was very significant for me and SPC. I am really inspired by our teams and communities working together to make sure we meet the ever-evolving energy needs of the Filipino today and in the future, while taking care of our environment. #letskeepmovingthephilippinesforward #poweringprogress
