As of December 22, 2021, GLC/GLIC Disaster Response Network (GDRN) members including CIMB have collectively pledged a total of RM58.4 million in support of flood relief efforts. The contributions will go towards a coordinated and streamlined humanitarian response in communities affected by the current flood crisis.   Our CSR arm CIMB Foundation will be working with selected NGOs such as Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) which are providing emergency relief to those affected by the floods. We are also providing payment relief to alleviate the financial burden of customers and staff who are impacted. In Malaysia’s worst #flooding in years, how can companies work better to help affected communities?  Overnight, the flood has impacted people’s homes, jobs, and lives. Through #GDRN, it has enabled GLCs and GLICs to streamline humanitarian work, avoid overlap and ensure that the right help arrives fast. With the additional Ministry of Finance’s matching grant of RM25 million, we hope to amplify the impact of our support to reach more people in need, via partner NGOs on the ground, and via direct aid to the community. Our prayers are with those affected by the flood. Stay strong, #Malaysians. #GDRNBantu #BantuanBencana #BantuanBanjir
