Updated List of Chargees for Executing Form 42B - Revised as at 22 January 2010

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) released its Practice Note No. 4/2009 on 13 July 2009 titled "Notification in Relation to the Identification of the Chargees for the Execution of Form 42B for the Discharge of Charge under the Companies Act 1965".

In this regard, many chargors are facing difficulties in executing the Form 42B as they are unable to identify the chargees (usually banks or financial institutions) due to the effect of corporate restructuring exercises or dissolution of the chargees.

To assist chargors resolve this problem, the Association has compiled a list of updated chargees (both banks and finance companies), as attached below.

If the chargee is a commercial bank or a commercial bank subsidiary and :

its name begins with A to M, please click here; or
its name begins with N to Z, please click here.

Or click here if the chargee was previously known as a finance company.

However, these lists may not be exhaustive and anyone who is still unable to identify the chargees from these lists are advised to contact Bank Negara Malaysia at 1300-88-5465 for further assistance.

Note:
We have been informed that the assets and liabilities of Rakyat First Merchant Bankers Bhd were vested via a vesting order from Affin Investment Bank Berhad to RHB Bank Berhad. The relevant list has accordingly been revised on 22 January 2010.
