Dialogue with The Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM)

The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) hosted its first dialogue on Friday, 30 October 2009 with The Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM). Representatives of ABM member banks who attended comprised, in the main, officers from the corporate banking and credit departments.

Leading the ISM delegates was Puan Wan Maimun Wan Abdullah, President of ISM who expressed her delight with the opportunity to introduce the banking fraternity to the roles and functions of ISM. The bankers were briefed on the various types of surveyors and each of their roles. Thereafter an interactive session on current practices was held. The discussion was both engaging and enlightening with both parties taking in the views aired. Both ISM and the banks agreed to continue to collaborate to forge a stronger working relationship going forward.
