BNP Paribas Malaysia Berhad is The Association of Banks in Malaysia's newest member
Kuala Lumpur, 21 July 2011 - The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) has formally admitted BNP Paribas Malaysia Berhad as its 25th member, and welcomes it as the 16th locally incorporated international bank operating in Malaysia under ABM’s list of member banks.
Chuah Mei Lin, Executive Director of ABM said “We are very pleased to have BNP Paribas onboard with us. Given its global presence and long establishment in the banking industry, we look forward to collaborating with BNP Paribas on issues and projects for the betterment of the commercial banking industry.”
About The Association of Banks in Malaysia
The Association of Banks in Malaysia was formed in November 1973 with the primary objective of establishing and promoting a sound banking system in Malaysia in cooperation and consultation with Bank Negara Malaysia. Its members comprise the 25 commercial banks that currently operate in Malaysia.
