Association Of Banks Of Malaysia And Singapore Play 34th Annual Golf Tournament To Boost Ties

Kuala Lumpur, January 29, 2009 –The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) played host to its counterpart The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) at the recently concluded 34^th annual golf tournament held at the Saujana Golf & Country Club.

The annual friendly golf tournament which started in the early 1970s has become a fine tradition epitomizing the friendship and camaraderie between both associations and member banks from both sides of the causeway.

This year, there were 64 bankers from both associations who participated in the team event for the challenge trophy.

For the record, ABM pipped ABS 7-6 to take home the challenge trophy this time.
